It was a few weeks ago now but only just got round to blogging about my manicure at the Chanel Pop-up store in Covent Garden.
The much-talked about pop-up store opened this August and has been a huge hit, with manicures and make-overs booked up. I was told by an insider that the pop-up store had to be approved from the top of the ladder before the London Chanel team were given the go ahead. The fashion house is notorious for its traditional ways of marketing. This was the labels second pop-up shop, the first was opened up in South Korea, so obviously the press were all over the London launch.
Although the store is small, it has plenty of charm and the staff are all welcoming. For the manicure you may choose any colour from their extensive range, your nails are shaped and groomed, plenty of Chanel products for the cuticles and hands with a soothing hand massage – couple of licks of varnish and Voila…I chose the colour Pirate for my manicure, however decided to go with the colour Lotus Rouge to take home in my gift bag. Manicures cost £20 which includes a nail varnish, a colour of your choice.
As well as manicures and pedicures, they are also doing make-overs. There are many more workshops and events taking place before the closure of the pop-up store in late december.
It would make a really lovely treat…call 0207 240 2001 for a booking.
